Power Gig!

So it's GDC 2010 this week. Awesome loads of new game info will be coming out all weekend! ^^

Although one game in particular has already attracted my attention. Power Gig: Rise of the Six String. Taking the Guitar Hero and Rock Band popularity, Power Gig has it's own guitar controller. I know what your thinking, "Oh, another Guitar Hero clone." Well you may be pleasently surprised. One problem with the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series is that even if you become an expert at it, it doesn't mean you can play an actual guitar. Power Gig is going to try to fix this. The actual controller is virtually identical to an actual guitar, except obviously with the native controls added. It has been designed so that anyone, Guitar players, Guitar Heroes or completely new people, can play it. It has the fret placements like the actual GH and RB guitars but also promises to have parts of the game which will teach you some basic guitar techniques. Currently slated for a Fall 2010 release I gotta say.... I'm looking forward to it!
